The ABC Nepalese Christian Fellowship was first established on the month of January 2006, consisting a small group of people, in Ashford Kent, where we readily congregated and worshipped the Lord our God.
It was through the grace of God that we grew in our faith, blessing us with his wisdom and knowledge, encouraging us more through the scripture in Luke’s Gospel to embark on a journey of the idea to instigate a “House fellowship”. Gospel of Luke 12:32 says ‘Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Thus we started Nepalese house fellowship, scheduled for every Saturday, simultaneously in different houses. We would worship at different members homes each Saturday first starting out small group but slowly but surely growing in number every year.
A couple of years later, whilst worshipping, we realised that the congregation was getting too crowded for any of our houses to hold, therefore we turned to God to ask what we were to do as we wanted to keep on growing in number but space was not allowing us to. God was showing us that we were in need of finding a suitable place for us to worship him, and behold, by his love and mercy, guided us to Ashford Baptist Church where we were welcomed and through the grace of God, and the love of his people we were able to integrate and worship together with Ashford Baptist English Church. We joined with Ashford Baptist Church from 1st of March 2009, and ever since, we have been part of Ashford Baptist Church and we have been working together with both English-Nepalese congregation in all situations such as Christmas, Easter, Baptisms, Funerals etc.
Ten years since the Nepalese fellowship first began, on the 7th February 2016 we decided to change our fellowship day from Saturday afternoon [4pm-6pm] to a Sunday afternoon [2pm-4pm]. Thus we join with the English service at 10:30am on Sunday mornings and our Nepalese service commences from 2pm on Sunday afternoon, this provided us with an opportunity to further this relationship between Ashford Baptist English Church and Nepalese Fellowship in the mission to move forward in teaching and in understanding of Gods word, as one body of Christ with fellowship strength of 35 to 40 people at present.
Roman 10:11 declares that: ‘Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame’ and through our belief and faith in God, he has definitely kept us from the perils of shame, from whatever problems that were thrown our way, as we believed that he would not let us face the problems alone. We continually praise his marvellous deeds knowing he has paved a way for us, and that we only follow the path he has set for us so that we may reside with him in the heavenly home he has prepared for us.
Joshua 1:9, Says; Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go
So, by the grace of God, I, Mr Danielx (Laxmiprasad) Rai, am continuing to take part as a leader of ABC Nepalese fellowship Ashford kent from when fellowship began in January 2006 to present.
